G.A.A. With a diminished, but increasingly active G.A.A. of approxi- mately 215 members, the largest organization in the school is engaged in one of its most successful years. Miss Dora Hauck, assisted by a staff of interested students, has ably conducted a pro- gram of seasonal sports such as volleyball, basketball, table tennis, badminton, softball, and bowling. This year the girls have enioyed various playdays with other schools in the area. The coming of spring brings the annual walking and bicycle hikes in which the girls parti- cipate. Intramural activities such as these enable a girl to win a letter, based on 60 activities and 40 social points. She is then given membership in the Lettergirls' Club, which, working under student officers has a planned monthly activity. By far the largest single proiect handled by the G.A.A. is the sponsorship of the annual Homecoming Dance, held during football season. Shower of Stars , this year's dance, proved to be one of the most popular dances of the season. Other activities included the selling of programs and pom-poms, attending out-of-town confer- ences and playdays, and holding a Christmas party.
