Georgia 31518 Studmt Govvuummt Aaaoexaftclon 1 Dear Students: You can witness with me, I am sure, that within the past few years many changes have taken place in living conditions in the United Q States. The American Society is changing gradually from a segregated 2 to an intergrated society. It is imperative that we be educationally 3 prepared to adjust to changes and be able to earn a decent living. ' The world calls us forth to be responsible citizens and to make a valuable contribution to improve living conditions for all people. As President of the Student Government Association, I feel that the Student Goverment has undergone many changes in the past few years. This organization has suffered from an over concern for trival issues and not enough concern for iruporta.nt issues. We must dedicate ourselves to a cause that is geared toward positive change, to develop a new college life characterized by excellence both academically and socially. It is only with well coordinated efforts by each manber of this family that such excellence may be achieved. Students, I am requesting that each of you start utilizing the Student Goverment in every way possible. We must renember that the era of complacency is now in the past, it is now that we must become active and verbalize our thoughts, opi.nions and desires, so as to defeat those'who are opposed to om' existence. Sincerely, I . ff Q L. Alex Parker, President Student Government Association
