IN MEMORY OF LOUI E JO ES JORDA A l The Fort Valley State College Sports Family was deeply sadden in learning of the passing of Mrs. Louise Jones Jordan, a member of the 1976-77 Wildkittens Basketball Association and the recipient of the 1977 FVSC Academic Scholastic Award. Louise, a sophomore Early Childhood Education ma- jor, passed away at the Eugene Talamadge Hospital in Augusta, Ga. on December 28, 1977. Louise was a 1976 graduate of Crawford -County High located in Roberta, Ga. While attending high school, Louise was associated with the Future Home- makers of America Club, the 4-H Club, the Pep Club, and the Junior-Senior Club. She was chosen as the Most Valuable Player and the Most Outstanding Of- fensive Player on the basketball team her senior year. Mrs. J ordan's community related activities included serving as president of the Girl's Softball team and as an active member of the St. James Baptist Church Choir. Louise was funeralized on January 2, 1978 at the St. James Baptist Church. Coach Jessie Brown and the Wildkittens Basketball team were present to pay their last respects to their teammate and friend. Coach Brown and the Kittens are also putting to- gether a memorial display at the George N. Woodward Gymnasium in honour of Louise, number 53, and her association with the Wildkittens team. Louise was the daughter of Mrs. Queen Jones and the bride of Sgt. Alfronzo Jordan.
