THE KEY CLUB OF FORT VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL PRESENTS . . . FOREWORD VALLI HI '66 has been designed to recall the memories of 1965-1966 at Fort Valley High School. This has been a year filled with hope, joy, and expectation. However, when the year has ended, an air of sadness prevails. Look upon these pages, that they may recount these emotions. This is our purpose for VALLI HI '66 . . . the mem- ories of a school. EDITORS 2 3 Mr. Bob McClendon DEDICA TION As students pass through their years of learning, they fortunately become acquainted with teachers whose high principles are indelibly stamped on the minds of their pupils. To these teachers, students will be eternally grateful—grateful for the knowledge they have shared and for their unselfish devotion to all. The dedication of this book seems meager thanks for this invaluable service. The Key Club of Fort Valley High School has dedicated this annual to such a person. Therefore, it is with great pride that we dedicate VALLI HI ’66 to MR. BOB McCLENDON for his unfailing generosity to the students of Fort Valley High School. 5 A DAY BEGINS WITH CLASSES . . . As you leave us soon, don’t forget that part of the school will go with you, and that you will leave part of yourself with FVHS. May every member of the 1966 Class bring credit upon Fort Valley High School. Your days here will never be forgotten, and our love and loyalty will always be- long with you. Good luck to each of you in the days to come. Ernest R. Anderson Superintendent GUIDANCE Fort Valley High School now has a full-time guidance counselor, Coach Albert Rad- ford, whose services include personal and group conferences with students desiring educational and or vocational information. Any student in high school, teacher, or parent may use any service or materials available in the counseling office—from cur- rent college catalogs to special-interest and intellectual tests. The counselor provides time to give any student an interpretation of his scores on standard tests and will assist him in choosing a college and in making applications concerning continued study or employment. d. c. t. D.C.T. is one of the two new subjects offered this year at FVHS. Under the supervision of Mr. Sims, students in this class learn the basic fundamentals needed in order to land and keep a job upon grad- uation. Gasses in the morning and work in the afternoon provide training which is needed for a future vocation to those students enrolled in this course. FACULTY 70 996T MISS ELEANOR BELL Math AB, MA; Ga.
