The Spirit of FSHS is reflected day after day through our numerous activities. There are scores of things to do here at FSHS. There are pep rallies, various sports activities, dances, numerous club activities, and every now and then an election or contest of some sort. We show much enthusiasm in our activities. We let ourselves go and enjoy the excitement of a game or feel the tense emotion of a contest. Often, the participation in an activity will determine our futures. The participation in an activity can lead to a hobby and then grow into a lifetime project. These activities here at FSHS do not just “keep us busy nor are they just a means of keeping us off the streets, but they offer a constructive program. They are offered to us to help us help ourselves. We reflect our Spirit by our participation in these activities, although our spirit is most evident in our athletics. It is here that almost all the school spirit we have reveals itself, vocally and emotionally. At a football game, the stadium shakes with, We want a touchdown! “ At a basketball game, the cry is, Sink it, Panthers, sink it! And at the pep rallies the gym is virtually shaken with Go! Fight! Win! The Panthers have great spirit and we lose just as well as we win. Our teams' sense of sportsmanship and values, despite the odds, is something all Panthers are proud of. There is a sense of desire and rivalry that is quite obvious in all the Panther teams, and as far as desire to win along with good sportsmanship is concerned, no Panther team has ever lost. 9
