I - -1.---..--. THE GIRLS' PEP CLUB The Girls' Pep Club of the Junior College was organized September 1928 under the sponsorship of J. W. Christian. ,Its purpose is to create a greater pep and enthusiasm for athletics in the Junior College and to lead in the organization of athletic activities and interests, in cooperation wth the teams and the student body as a whole, As this was the first year of the club's existence, all girls of the college who so alc- sired, were admitted to membership. The club remained active only through the foot- ball season. During this time it sold refreshments at the High School football guincs in order to assist the High School Pep Club in the joint High School and .Iunior Col- lege Football Banquet. SESAME True to tradition, in the fall of 1928, the cave Sesame opened to disclose thirty peppy girls waiting for an opportunity to do service. There was no delay in finding this opportunity for under the able leadership of Miss Bernice Bamberger with Gladys Mason, president, Esther Bell, vice-president, Alta Cowen, secretaryg Katherine Mit- tlebach, treasurer, the club took up its Work. The score-board on the football field was purchased and presented to the school. The club presented a most enjoyable assembly program and then gave themselves a Christmas party. Finally came the grand inspiration and the Sesame Girls mo delled Milady's Fashions at Junior High on March 14, with Marjorie Carson as general chairman, the Fashion Show was a grand success.
