Has been said to be a farce in the past, with student problems not voiced and little accomplished. However, this year, headed by Phil Gibson and Vice-President Bill Jeffress, the Student Council has been somewhat more active. Regular required Monday meetings were abolished and special meetings were held when the president or members had something to say. Such things as the Homecoming Dance, music in the cafeteria and United Fund raising projects required special meetings. We had the problem of getting a quorum to attend the meetings so we couldntt get much donef, said Mr. Schaberg, sponsor. Student Council members need to be people who are interested in government and are not involved in so many extra-curricular activities. WE WERE GOING TO GET SOMETHING DONE . 4 . A Q The Student Council arranged for the new student lobby furniture and a cement patio.
