Students strive to be unique in both appearance and thoughts. Realizing cliques and groups tend to make a person more tolerant, the staff still believed groups help to destroy individuality. Clubs often lose the individual in the group. A posed picture ofroll members does not reflect the true contributions of participants. As a substitute for group shots, candid pictures have been used to give a more realistic story of the club's activities and copy was written to capture the individuals' opinions. Student interest in clubs and extra-curricular activities was on the decline in 1972. This correlated with the general decline in school spirit at the Fort.
