Fort .M ers Higli School has been a steachl) growing center ot echication since its inception in 1911. A continnous increase in emollment, tacnlty, and (jnalit) has l)een a hallmark of our progress. In addition to these things, a large cam- l)us with several primar - buildings and nian other useful facilities are now apart of MHS. All this from one small Iniilding and a sparselv ecjuip- ped playground of fifty years ago. The student hod itself has made great progress. Our glee club and band have been noted as outstanding in the state and are always rated high in competition. In all scholastic activities, MHS students do sup- erior work. In this earbook, we intend to show a representative cross section of a school that has made tremendous changes in the fift - ears since its establishment. The student body, their activi- ties and accomplishments will be shown in the light of ad ancing ideas in the field of educa- tion. This, our Golden Anniversary, marks the achievement of a great man goals, but leads us on in the same tradition of progress. 1961 ¥lH4r«H
