Americans have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The three R’s, reading, riting, and rithmatic - That's what education used to be all about. School, back when America was young, was quite different from what it is today. Classes were held in a one room school house and all the children had the same teacher. Modern schools, unlike these old fashioned schools, are usually very large. Many schools are even air conditioned or carpeted. Teachers have also changed throughout history. Teachers are more specialized and better educated than they were years ago. They have more complicated electronic teaching aids with which to try to motivate the student. Teachers have had to change as time passed and ideas and lifestyles changed. No one can say which are the best teachers. 12
