Faculty Instructing is the work of a teacher. To teach all of the youth of all of the people of all the community the things which will enable them to become better persons, and to help them to achieve their proper place in society - these are the aims of a teacher. Through dedication and patience they have taught us the importance of knowledge. Altnough our memories of them may dim as the years slip by, we will asways treasure their guidance and wisdom. One of the new additions to our school this year is Mrs. Peggy Boatwright who is a reading instructor. Besides being a Senior Sponsor, Mrs. Boarwright enjoys cooking, sewing, and reading. She has a B.S, in Education from Southwest Missouri State College and has done graduate work at Kansas State College and University of Florida. Our history department also has a new addition this year, Mrs. Jackie Burch. She teaches eighth grade Civics and is a Junior Class sponsor. Mrs. Burch, who enjoys water skiing and horseback riding, has a B.S. from Florida Southern and an M.A. from Stetson. Mr. Peto Campas, who teaches seventh grade geography and eighth grade United States history, has a B.S. in Business Administration. He is a seventh grade sponsor and spends his spare time reading, listening to music, and traveling. 20

This section includes the people who make our school what it is: the principals, secretaries, librarians, school board, and faculty. We may only see them from eight o’clock to three o’clock, but their jobs last much longer. They attend classes, meetings, and lectures so that they may be better teachers and administrators. They spend many hours organizing and planning so that our school may operate efficiently and our classes run smoothly. Although they are seldom given proper credit or consideration, these people are a vitally important part of our school. 19
