FOREWORD The FOMEHISO is now complete. This yearbook attempts to bring to you. the students, most of the important events in the school year. A lot of hard work has gone into this memory book for Fort Meade High School. It is not an easy task to get a group of Seniors together and get them to agree on many things. This annual staff is no exception. Fortunately, however, we agreed on all important problems. We hope that you will enjoy the annual and it will help you to recall many pleasant memories. I would like to thank all those who in any way helped to make this annual what is is now. I especially want to recognize our adviser, Mrs. Carole Anne Pipkins, who has really been a big help. My thanks also go to my hard-working staff, the photographers— Mr. Don Robertson, John Varn, and Steve Heller—, also the teach- ers, principals, and everyone who bought an advertisement or an annual. The Class of 1966 salutes the following boys for their scholastic abilities: EDGAR CANTER BROWN VALEDICTORIAN Canter plans to attend the Florida State University after graduation. He was selected Valedictorian because his grades were the highest in our class. Canter also received the Star Pupil Award. This award is based on Senior Tests and SAT scores. Each star pupil picks a teacher whom they think has helped them the most. SALUTATORIAN ROBERT ERVIN MONTGOMERY Robert has gotten many scholarship offers and has not made up his mind which one he will take or which university he will attend. Robert, a transfer student, has maintained his high scholastic average at Union Acad- emy and FMHS. For this reason he has been given the second highest scholastic award, Salutatorian.
