We walk in the deserted prairies, watching the streamlets running fast, up and up, from the depths of the valley to the top of the mountain: we watch the naked trees blooming and bearing, and shedding their leaves in one instant, and then we see the branches fall and turn into speckled snakes... The Class of 1966 salutes the following boys for their scholastic abilities: EDGAR CANTER BROWN VALEDICTORIAN Canter plans to attend the Florida State University after graduation. He was selected Valedictorian because his grades were the highest in our class. Canter also received the Star Pupil Award. This award is based on Senior Tests and SAT scores. Each star pupil picks a teacher whom they think has helped them the most. SALUTATORIAN ROBERT ERVIN MONTGOMERY Robert has gotten many scholarship offers and has not made up his mind which one he will take or which university he will attend. Robert, a transfer student, has maintained his high scholastic average at Union Acad- emy and FMHS. For this reason he has been given the second highest scholastic award, Salutatorian.
