Prophecy Aberdeen Proving Grounds June 2, 1964 As I sit here all alone, looking out the window of this gigantic space ship and take my last view of Earth, I remember the good times at Dear Old Fort Meade High, I wrote all my old classmates a farewell letter before I left and since I have a few min- utes before the Chief Technician gets here to fire the rockets that will send me on this space expedition to see if even the lowest form of human life can survive on outer Pluto, 1 will relate my findings to you. Some of them are working right here at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, which is now under the supervision of Brigadier General Jack Bloody Bones Bronson. Marie Ard and Kathryn Lightsey turned out to be career girls and are now private secretaries for old Bloody Bones. Earl Thompson and Lloyd Ivey have the job of filling the rockets with that power- ful rocket fuel, Sloan's Slippery, Slushy, Super-Rocket Slop, invented by Professor Joel R. Sloan of Scatcheew University. I sent a letter to the Florida State Stir for Women to Sherrie Cantt. It seems that she has become so skilled with her hands that she has developed the hobby of opening safes—other people's. Glenda Mullins is running a fruit stand on the tenth floor of the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City and Richard is keeping the house, tending to the children, etc. I sent an air-mail letter to Paris, France, to Kathryn Cochrane and her troupe of world-renowned chorus girls, Kitty Cochrane and her chorus Cuties --also starring Mary Monroe Lloyd. Another letter went to the penthouse of that multi-millionaire playboy, John Cold Cash Collier, who got rich off that amazing new baby food, Collier's Colos- sal Chlorophyll Collards. Also living with him is his movie-actor brother, Jim Collier, now starring in a western thriller, Jingo Jimmy and the Jumping Jack. A Special delivery letter went to Tommy Fairchild and Sue Shields, now Mr. and Mrs., congratulating them for their success on revolutioning the Einstein Theory. Tommy works part time with Robert Bell's jazz band, Bell's Boogie Boys.

Class History Tonight we launch--Where shall we anchor? COLORS: Blue and White FLOWER: White Gardenia Although it seems only a short while ago, it has been nearly twelve years since our mamas unwillingly left us to the care of Mrs. Lila Johnson, Mrs. Dorothy Gabriel, and Miss Mable Wells. On Through the Green Gate and Down the River Road we traveled until we were no longer little schoolers. Higher and higher we climbed the ladder of learning, and one day awoke to find ourselves Freshmen in Fort Meade High School. We may have been green but we certainly weren’t yellow; proved by the fact that we plunged right into all sports and activities! S. E. McDaniel was our class president during that first year. Mrs. Barbara Orr and Mr. Forrest McCullars were our sponsors. Together they were able to guide us Frosh safely through that crucial year. Then we were Sophs, and the tempo began to pick up. We began to think of fattening our heretofore empty treasury. An unusually successful magazine sale soon had it bulging with funds. Our president was Jimmie Pollard; our sponsors, Mrs. Margaret Chapman and Chief Lutke. Soon after we acquired the title Juniors we ordered our class rings. There were many triumphs for us that year. Grandad Step» Out was presented to a full house on the evening of November 20. We became a little arrogant when one of our number, JoAnn Davis, was crowned queen of Homecoming. Then came basketball season, and we took over the concessions. Orange Juice Kids” they called us, but our well-operated refresh- ment center paid dividends. For the Junior-Senior Banquet, we invited the Seniors to Hitch Their Wagons to a Star and enter our celestial palace, hardly recognizable as the gymnasium. S. E. McDaniel was again our president and Miss Helen Godwin and Mr. David Black served as our sponsors. As Seniors we found ourselves enveloped in a maze of activities. We were off to an early start by electing George Evans president. Miss Grace Godley and Mr. David Black had a full time job as our sponsors. First on the agenda was a highly successful chicken supper, served in the gymnasium. Hard work, it was, but our efforts once again paid off. We sponsored the post game football dances, and with Homecoming two more stars were added to our crown of successes. Our entry in the Homecoming parade, urging the Fightin' Miners to Put Auburndale's Bloodhounds in the Doghouse, won first prize. Seniors, Jimmie Pollard and Winifred McMillan, were crowned King and Queen of Homecoming. On April 1, we presented our second play, Love Is in the Air, a howling success. A little later we were the guests of the Juniors at their Junior-Senior Banquet. Now we are looking forward to June and the night when-- We shall launch—Where shall we anchor?” Sue Shields Historian

Another letter of congratulation went to a pair of newly-weds, the Wrestling Champ ion of the World, Awful Ed Adams and his tenth wife, Rosemary Adams, formerly Thomas. Rosemary acts as his manager and keeps the smelling salts bottles filled. I didn’t send a letter to Jungle Jim Pollard, the well-known guide of the Ever- glades. It seems that while leading a hunting party of five chorus girls, he got lost, first time too. Dress designer, Mary Ellen Olive, just came out with a new design in fall dresses, and her co-designer, Patsy Harris, is trying to figure out what to do when they fall. S. E. McDaniel finally gave up trying to grow hair and started a mail order wig company. He uses die slogan, Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow, Buy a Mop-Top and Save the Sorrow, and features a free change of oil with each Mop-Top. (The address is D. W., Mop-Top, WCKY, Cincinnati 1, Ohio.) Sharon Lastinger and Sue Durrance continued their basketball careers and are now A string forwards on the Globe Whooperettes. During the summer, Sue is a dare- devil driver with Joey Chitwood. After being in the last presidential race, George Evans returned to his old job of street cleaner in Fort Meade, working in close harmony with the Police Chief, W. F. Martin. Joan Barnett and her furniture company are featuring Barnett's Bugless Beds, guaranteed to have no bugs in die mattress, in fact, they have no mattresses. Winifred McMillan, originator of Winnie's Wild West Woedeo is featuring a great new act. Alvin Howard rides a Brahma bull into the arena and Dwayne Johnson sits in the audience and shoots the bull. June Wilkes' enthusiasm as assistant oiler on the Bigger Digger VI resulted in its digging itself into the Gulf of Mexico. June now models the latest in diving clothes for Milady, complete with pastel helmets. Betty Graves supervises the G-K Ranch where the most startling news to the Agri- cultural world is the crossing of a Hampshire and a Hereford to produce T-bones and pork chops from the same animal. Well, here comes the chief technician, (none other than the highest paid button pusher in the army, Wayne Cannon). With a sickening grin, he performs his duty! Farewell, Earth ! ! WHOOOSSSHHH ! ! !
