June 21, 1963 Dear Diary, Here it is time for our class reunion. While all my former classmates are talking over old times and having fun. I'll still be here in jail. Yes, I’m serving my time for clowing up the schoolhouse on graduation night. I wasn't the only one who had a hand in it, but I was the only one whose hand left any fingerprints. Since I can't go to the reunion, I had EARL COLLINS, who is now a private detective, bring me his file of newspaper clippings about our former classmates. I could at least read about the things they’ve been doing for these past ten years. Here are the facts: MAX LOGAN is campaigning for president. He’s still using his slogan Vote for Logan— the biggest little man in politics. WINIFRED GILLISPIE is president of the world's largest correspondence club. She's giving up eating to devote more time to her writing. SHELTON JACKSON has an observatory on the moon. Wonder what he observes? LA VERNE GUEST won the Featherweight Championship of the world wrestling in Madison Round Gardens. BARNEY BASS is running a funeral home now. He has introduced his new Lay-Away Plan - - you pay him in advance and he'll lay you away, in time. MARY ETHEL MCMILLAN is singing her theme song, A Sloppy Lagoon in a swanky new place built by BILLY JERKINS called Jerkins Juke Joint. MARJORIE HANCOCK and LAREACE POWELL are manufacturing double-jointed specta- cles for two-faced people. SHIRLEY HOWZE and LUCILLE IVEY have quite a fashionable business in New York. In fact, it's the only filling station on Fifth Avenue. MORRIS LUNN and JOHN GORDON have taken over John's father's feed store. At the present they are having a sale on Vitaminized Supersonic pellets for run-down turtles. After receiving his degree from college and getting some practical experience in a circus, BOBBY MITCHELL is well equipped to handle every situation in his position as principal. KENNETH PARRISH is still trying to perfect a tricycle with four-wheel drive. IMOGENE SIMMONS and VIOLET ROGERS have retired in a suite on the top floor of the newly completed Skeleton Hotel, owned by BOBBY DEVANE. They made their millions on Imogene's new breakfast food, Simmons Slurpy Slop, the world's only silent cereal. It doesn't snap, crinkle, gurgle or pop; it merely oozes silently out of the bag. EDNA MAE RIVERS and JOYCE DAVIS have their hands full running a kindergarten for people in their second childhood.
