Clendinen try for that all important point. WEST PALM WILDCATS This cold night found the Wildcats hot enough to burn the L's 26-6. The valiant Blue and White fought courageously against breaks and an alert rival before succumbing to the heavily favored Wildcats. Wilson scored for the Flying L's in the waning seconds of the game. LAKELAND DREADNAUGHTS Early in the first quarter, a Lakeland scatback tallied their only TD. In the third quarter Munson connected with a long pass to Russell who then ran for a Flying L TD. The extra point attempt was missed; Lakeland scores a 7-6 win. CORAL GABLES CAVALIERS The Cavaliers struck with rapier-like thrusts when the Flying L defense seemed to have them stymied. The L's offense functioned smoothly for a first half touchdown, but was stopped by its own fumbles in the second half. The final whistle found the L's on the short end of a 26-6 score. MIAMI JACKSON GENERALS An inspired band of Flying L gridders met the power-laden Generals head-on in a thrilling duel before bowing 20-6. In the closing seconds of the first half Munson hit Russell with a TD pass tying the score at 6-6. Long runs by Casoria and Munson in the second half thrilled the L sup- porters, but the Generals' defenses held the rag- ing Blue and White tide short of the goal line. Will and Horky jolt a General Ace.
