During each of rhe 36 long weeks,, srudenrs and reachers alike looked forward ro rhose rwo magic days known os rhe weekend. Finally rhe 2:20 bell rang on Friday and cries of Parry echoed rhroughour rhe halls. Suddenly, rhe quesrion of whar ro do arose. The choice, wherher srudying or mararhon parries, was derermined by rhe individual. Many people used rhe weekend os a chance ro moke money, jobs ranged from bobysirring ro fosr food resrouronrs. If one ' s rime was nor occupied by a job, rhe choices were numerous. Many Federols enjoyed rhe local ice and roller skaring rinks; orhers preferred sraying home and warching Tele¬ vision. Generally Forr Hunr srudenrs enjoyed gerring rogerher wirh friends on rhe week¬ ends. These lirrle ger rogerhers ofren grew inro big ger rogerhers, which soon become known as parries. Ofren, by rhe rime Sun¬ day rolled around Forr Hunr srudenrs may hove felr more like sleeping. Recuperarion was on imporranr parr of everyone ' s week¬ end. Some srudenrs wenr off ro church while orhers gor up for work. Then Monday crepr up, fosrer rhon expecred, and Feder¬ al all over dragged rhemselves our of bed and ro firsr period. The cycle hod begun again. Taking advanrage of rhe year ' s firsr snow. Hank Darns and Dob Gibbons hir Mr. Vernon Hill ro rake parr in rhe rradirional snowball fighr. Car mechanics as a hobby keeps Jeff Kindred busy on a slow weekend. Ar Ski Liberry, Gerrysburg, Pa. John Grizzord demon- srrares his skiing abiliries. Alan Davis prepares ro munch ar a parry over rhe Chrisrmas Holiday. Making money is an imporranr parr of Dill Fredenberg ' s weekend, as he pumps gas or rhe Co-op gas srarion. 29
