A Dream Come True For Princesses 12 Exciremenr filled rhe air as Homecoming halftime approached The band was getting ready for their performance The cars, chauffering rhe princesses, were ready to go The buzzer sounded and it was half- time Anticipation and suspense were in rhe air. As rhe floats and convertibles drove by, rhe smiles seemed to broaden. The crowd was breathless, as each hoped for his favor¬ ite candidate The students had taken a great deal of rime selecting just rhe right girl to represent them. The girl they had chosen was someone who was nor only pretty, but also someone who had contributed to their group or organization The announcement sounded throughout rhe entire stadium . . . rhe Homecoming Queen for 1979 is Chrys- tianne Williams. She was surrounded by all of rhe other princesses as she received her bouquet and her crown from rhe 1978 Homecoming Queen, Cathy Williams. Once Upon A Time Homecoming 1979 was a special event for Forr Hunr rhis year as ir marked rhe rerurn of old alumni, as well as rhe srudenr body ro rheir school. Fesriviries began with Spirir Week when stu¬ dents showed rheir enthusiasm by parrici- paring in activities like Green and Gold Day or by going ro rhe bonfire. Topping off rhe week was rhe Pep Pally where Feds showed rhey were glad to be bock togeth¬ er cheering for rheir school. Fans turned our in large numbers ro cheer rheir ream on against Groveron, o temporary home owoy from home lost year. The ream kept up on old tradition by beating rhe Tigers 9-0. Homecoming 1979 climaxed with rhe donee in rhe gym where couples discovered ir was more of a homecoming sock hop rhon a dance By 11:30 p.m., Saturday nighr, rhe week ' s fronric pace was over; bur rhe spirir remained.
