Band Competitions Providing heightened spirit for the football team and excit mg, foot-stompin ' shows, the 74-75 Marching Federals hardly lack talent. In competition, their excellence is not the less appreciated, as they amassed a superior rating in the Alexandria Open, the Admiral ' s Cup in the Naval Academy Marching Competition, and the title Best of Bands in the Robinson Annual Marching Spectacular, a successful de¬ fense of last year ' s achievement. Recognized in the latter meet were Chuck Vaughan as the best drum major, and the Majorette Corps as a peerless ensemble. Fort Hunt extends thanks and praise to an emotional and entertaining march¬ ing band. 26

Among the many fund-raising schemes sponsored by the Senior Class was the Match Game. M.C. ' d by Mr. Rose, the game started with a faculty panel and student contestants. For an encore the positions were switched, and the teachers of Fort Hunt, for the first time, had to answer the quizzing seniors.
