Studying grass identification in the field is an important phase of the range management class for agriculture majors. Problems of dairy and stock producers are considered as well as expenses and marketing values. Dr. G. W. Tomanek heads the biological science divi- sion which includes agriculture, biology, botany and zoology. 21

Machines that add, subtract, multiply and divide are all a part of the businessman ' s world. Courses on the operational procedures of computers are a recent addition to the business and economics curriculum. Honor Fraternities Sponsor Econ and Business Week Highlight of the year for students in the division of economics and business is the annual Econ and Business Week in May, which is planned and sponsored by Alpha Kappa Psi, Pi Omega Pi and Phi Beta Lambda. One feature is an honor banquet at which all students who have received honors in the division during the year are recognized. Representatives from business areas are available for conferences and interviews through the week. Several seminars and speakers, including a repre- sentative from the AFL-CIO and from the Federal Reserve System, were sponsored by the division. Six accounting majors participating in the internship program worked for six weeks with a CPA firm. IBM punch cards produced in the data processing center are used to keep student information records. 23
