If approved, the faculty then recommends the policy to the administration for enactment. General supervision of the catalo- gue, the schedule of classes, and the advisement procedure arc also part of the senate ' s duties The faculty of each division elects one of its members to serve on the senate for one year. There are three ex-officio members: the registrar, the dean of the graduate division, and the dean of the faculty. After serving two consecutive terms, one year must elapse before a member may be re-elected. IB

Extension, Alumni and Memorial Union An interview with a U.S, Food and Drug Administration chemist in the placement office of FHS. The Memorial Union cooks prepare for the rush at noon. Areas which play important roles in the life of the college are Extension and Correspondence, Alumni and Endowment Assns., Placement Service and Student Aids, and the Memorial Union. Off campus students are under jurisdiction of the Extension Service; loans, scholarships and student aids enable many students to complete their education; while alumni and friends of the college maintain contact with and assist the college program through the Alumni and Endow ment Assns. Student employment and job place- ment opportunities are channeled through the Placement and Aids offices, I lie Memorial Union, living room of the campus, is a learning laboratory for citizenship, leadership, and cooperation.
