ENGINEER ' S CLUB I he Engineer s Club, an organization of students interested in engineering, had a record membership of eighty members this year. Field trips were taken to the Municipal Airport and to local business establishments. Robert Calfce is president of the group. SIGMA PI SIGMA Sigma Pi Sigma. National Physics Honor Society, was organized on the campus in 1919. This year they sponsored a series of weekly astronomical lireside chats. lJoyd Keelling is president of the organization. x» n i; imTO ACTION If it were not for the Student Council there would be no painted faces nor meat lines, because the mem¬ bers of the council prescribe the insignia that all the freshmen must wear—or else! The sixteen members of the Student Council regulate social events, spon¬ sor elections and wrangle over the date cf Pike Day. Marion Chipman was president of the group the first semester, and John Woelk the second semester. 1 he Seventh Cavalry is not an organization of horsemen, but it lives up to the ideals of General Custer s Cavalry. It is an honorary leadership fra¬ ternity limited to fifteen members who have excelled in leadership, service, scholarship, and character. The group publishes the student directory, the Delator. Bob Culley is president of the group. The Women’s Leadership Organization is the sis ter organization of the Seventh Cavalry. This year the group sponsored the “Send a Cookie to a Rook ie“ campaign. Cookies were sent to former Fort Hays students now in the service of Uncle Sam. Marjorie Butler is president of the Women’s Leadei ship Organization. Page Ticunty ml vn
