Without the help of Mr. Rogers, Mr. Schaperjahn, and Ms. Annala this yearbook wouldn't have been possible. Thanks for your long hours after school and the determination you gave us for meeting our deadlines. WE SALUTE YOU Mrs. Hardick: Thank you for your dedicated years of service, for making many class trips possible, and for your annual Spanish parties. You will be greatly missed. Mrs. Suprenant: You always have a friendly word and a pleasant smile to share with us at lunchtime, and we appreciate these cheerful greetings. 3 DEDICATION We would like to dedicate this year's Siren to all three of our class advisors. Miss Mulcahy, Mr. Bunn, and Mr. La-Sarso have all participated a great deal in all of our class events. They all contributed very much in helping us to make our prom a success. We couldn't pick just one person to dedicate this Siren to because we were very fortunate in having three terrific advisors who all deserve this dedication. IN MEMORIAM William J. Etu IV April 6, 1968 - July 1, 1983 On July 1,1983 the Class of 1986 not only lost a fellow class mate but a dear friend and terrific person. Bill will always be remembered for his quick wit, devilish grin, and zany personality. Words cannot express how we feel about Bill. We only hope that you will hold his memory as dear to you as we do to ourselves. 5 EDITOR'S MESSAGE Fort Edward Student's: While working on the 1985-1986 yearbook many things transpired. Words were said that weren't meant and we fought and yelled. However, this is what we got from all that. At first we didn't think we were going to have enough money (what else is new). Through Mr. Rogers' and Lou Russo's hard work, we were able to make it. I would like to thank Mr. Rogers, Mrs. Annala, and Mr. Schaperjahn for all their help. It must have been really frustrating for them around deadlines when more advisors showed up than staff. Enjoy your 85-86 yearbook. YEARBOOK STAFF 6 Row 1: J. Flammond, Row 2: K. Currie, L. Gailey, K. The reunion was held at the Mental Health Ward of the Glens Falls Hospital, in order to include KATH CURRIE, a deranged butterknife killer, and DAVE LAMAY, PAT BROCKWAY, and STEVE WRIGHT, who had been placed in the MHU for hacking up disc jockey, LAURA ROUSE, queen of the airwaves”, for playing music that was too mellow. The event was catered by LISA GAILEY, now a cheif cook for the Campbells soup company, and SCOTT DUFOUR, a well known chef. Refreshments were provided by JILL OSGOOD, who is now the current profit taster for the Anheuser-Busch Corp. Among those who attended were: MATT LASARSO, owner of a chain of Drugs-R-Us” drug stores, GINA COLVIN, now a stock car driver, and PATTI BENWARE, who told us of her adventurous climb to the PEAKE of Mount Everest. KELLIE TROMBLEY and DEN TAYLOR, famous movie stars, came straight off the set of Flinstones- The Next Generation”. Also present were: LOU RUSSO, now up for the Nobel Science Award, GARY CONDON, owner of a leather outlet, MARY ANN BENNETT, personal secretary to the first lady and TODD BROWN, assistant coach to Joe Girard. STUART ALHEIM, who is now an Olympic swimmer, was late in attending because he had to complete 20 laps in the pool. TIM LEMERY, CHRIS JUNJULAS, and JOHN BOUCHER, owners of Rent-a-Wreck”, had to take the Greater Glens Falls Transit Bus, driven by SCOTT COLLINS, while their cars were in the shop. Still residing in the Fort are: TIM BROCKWAY, a trig, teacher, BILL CHEENEY, who took over coach Lewza's position, and MARK CARPENTER, the new principal of F.E.H.S. A few of our former students actually work in the Glens Falls hospital. AMY GODFREY, works in the emergency room. BILL PLISKO, now an ambulance driver, took time off his busy schedule to visit our reunion. AA chairperson BARB FICHTNER and her newly appointed deputy assistant KATE VANAERNEM, spend quite a bit of their time at the hospital for seminars. RACHEL ABARE is now employed as the head dietician for the hospital, and BERNICE MARKS is now a receptionist at the main desk. From the socially elite world came top fashion model, KATHY NICHOLS, and her press secretary, TINA HUNT. SCOTT BEALE, a romance novelist also was able to attend. MARY BATES, a music producer, supplied us with many stories of her exciting life, and MICHELLE MCDONALD, a professional artist, created all of our decorations for the event. Late in the afternoon, we had to rush DAVID WRIGHT down to the emergency room because he had gotten a pin lodged in his nasal passage. Also in attendance were GLEN DOROSKI, owner of a hat manufacturing company, who supplied us with souvenir baseball caps, and ANGIE GITTO, who now owns her own chain of pizza places. Toward the end of the evening TIM ROBERTS estimated the value of our empty bottles to be worth at least $56. Upon hearing this JACKIE HAMMOND and KIM GRAHAM quickly collected them and left the reunion. Unfortunately, not everyone could attend the reunion. We would like to have seen MARK PHILLIPS present, but he had a court appearance for driving 60 in a 30 zone and was unable to join us. Also, SKIP ROSATI could not be reached; last we know he had been living on a remote island in the middle of the International Date Line. 49 Our King Stuart and Queen Kelie Band Row 1: S. We would like to thank Mrs. Hardick and Miss Mulcahy who worked quite hard in planning our events for the day and for helping us to earn enough money. Club While in the Big Apple' we visited the Bronx Zoo, Empire State Building and The Guiness Book of World Records. At the close of our evening we dined at the elegant Mama Leon's Restaurant.
