CLASS HISTORY FALL 76 - We started our Freshman year and found that we had many adjustments to make in order to become accustomed to different surroundings and the newness of high school life. M7e began by electing our officers who were; Mary Roberts, President; Nancy Williams, Vice-President; Jeanne Carpenter, Secretary; and Mary Nichols, Treasurer. Later in the year we sold hot plates in order to begin raising money for our treasury. FALL '77- We entered our Sophomore year with much enthusiasm and got our class projects under-way in a hurry. The first thing we did was elect new officers: Mark Lewza, President; Nancy Williams. Vice-President; Shelley Hervieux. Secretary; and Mary Nichols, Treasurer. Student Council members were: Mary Baldwin. Judy Corriveau, Becky Eldridge. Shelley Hervieux. Mary Hubbard, Mary Nichols, Mary Roberts, Jine Shaw and Julie Wilson. Fundraising activities for the year included a gong show, held in November; dances and several sales, all of which were very successful. In April we ordered our class rings, which we designed ourselves. FALL 78- Our Junior year began with great expectations and much work to be done. The first thing we did to get the year going was elect officers: Tim Sheehan, President; Paul Hendricks. Vice-President; Shelley Hervieux, Secretary, and Mary Nichols Treasurer. We had many activities to keep us busy, including football concession stands, and several dances, which we held to raise money for our prom. In October we sponsored our first Halloween dance, which proved to be very successful, as well as fun for all. On January 23 we began planning for our prom by selecting our theme, and organizing committees to begin with the preparations. After months of planning, our Junir Prom, STAR RIDER , became a reality. The gym was decorated with stars, streamers, and glitter, and all those attending enjoyed the music of Moondance . It was a lovely evening for all. and was highlighted by the crowning of our king and queen, Syl Rabin and Nancy Williams. Serving on court were, Jill Bartlett. Mary Nichols, Mary Roberts, Debbie Robinson, Rosemarie Sandora, Jine Shaw. Brodie Etu, Steve Hazzard. Paul Hendricks, Tom LaSarso, Mark Lewza, and Arvid O'Connell. All in all it was a very enjoyable Junior year for us. FALL 79- In our final year, as Seniors at F.E.H.S. wt? did much to keep us busy as we plunged toward the end of our high school years. We got straight to work by electing as officers. Mary Nichols, President, Mark Lewza, Vice President, Shelley Hervieux. Secretary, and Tom LaSarso. Treasurer. The first thing we did was hold a dance and a sale to start building our treasury up again. We held a second Halloween dance, which was just as successful as the first. During basketball season tve operated the concession stand which proved to be profitable as well as fun. Plans for the year included the possibility of a Senior class outing before the year ended. On June 21 we attended the Alumni Banquet and became new members of the association. The next day, June 22 we graduated from Fort Edward High School. The class of 1980 would like to thank all our teachers and administrators who made our four years at F.E.H.S. enjoyable and a success. Special thanks are given to our advisors, Mr. Ecker. Mr. K Hr a in, Mrs. Meron. Mr. Rogers, and Mr. Smith. Without their help all our dreams of class projects and activities would never have been accomplished.
