IN MEMORIAM JAMES SMYTHE May 8, 1959-October 23, 1972 In the fall of 1972, the entire class lost a dear friend and classmate — Jimmy Smythe. Although Jimmy was with us for a short time, he will be remembered for his unyielding strength and good spirits. Each of us gained the deepest respect and admiration for Jimmy as he fought with steadfast courage. Jimmy enjoyed life for he round pleasure in the little things we take for granted. Because we feel that Jimmy has not been truly taken from us, we dedicate this page of our SIREN in the lasting memory of what he has meant to all of us. c o A C H DEDICATION F It is with deep thanks and appreciation that we dedicate this SIREN to Mr. Peter Miles. For the past four years, Mr. Miles has been involved with us as a coach, a teacher and an advisor. Either in the classroom or on the p athletic field, Mr. Miles has instilled in us academic achievement and school spirit. Personally, as advisor, he did not merely preside over activities but N became a part of them. While we were preparing for the prom, Mr. Miles met r every task we asked from him with a willing smile and no complaints. Because we found him to be patient, concerned and sympathic even during some impossible times, the Class of 1977 and the yearbook staff hopes that this offering of our SIREN will seal the memory of our friendship with him.
