Fort Edward High, we sing thy praises, Hail the blue and white, We strive for glory and for honor, And for all that's right. We give our Alma Mater All the love we hold, And through the years we shall remember Its everlasting role. - ALMA MATER In Ml emonam JOHN F. KENNEDY 35th President of the United States ass History In 1960, we took a big step from Junior High to our first year of high school. Since our Freshman year was new to us, our activities were limited. For our class officers we elected: Betty Viele, president; Mary Quattrocchi, vice-president; Betty Bowe, secretary; Tim Murray, treasurer; and Susie Carroll, Student Council member. In our Sophomore year, we took a step up to the next rung of our four-year ladder. Our leaders for that year were: Mike Boucher, president; Tim.Hogan, vice-president; Tim Murray, treasurer; Betty Bowe, secretary; Margaret Broderick and Mike Dobroski, Student Council representatives. The Sadie Hawkins” dance was a big event for us that year. The gym, decorated to the theme of Harvest Time, was a pleasant sight for everyone. This dance proved to be both a social and financial success. Somehow we managed to survive through another year to find ourselves as excited Juniors. First we elected the following class officers to guide us through this important year; Mike Boucher, president; Sue Carroll, vice-president; Mary Ann Simmons, secretary; Tim Murray, treasurer; Mary Quattrocchi and Andy Sharp, Stu-Council representatives. Impatiently, we then waited until our class rings arrived in early February. However, we didn't have much time to think about them because our Junior Prom was only three months away. This was certainly the highlight of our Junior year, and we were all proud of the success which came from it. Under the direction of Marilyn Mills, our gym was decorated to the theme of Stardust. It was certainly a beautiful creation, with a giant star as our background, and every Junior was proud to say he had helped make it that way. To reign as queen of this lovely setting was Mary Quattrocchi, who chose for her king, Bob Cameron. Her court consisted of Marlene Durkee, Susie Carroll, Betty Bowe, Betty Viele, Margaret Broderick, and Kathleen McCarty. It doesn't seem possible that four years have gone by so fast and left us as Seniors. Mike Boucher was elected president with Sam Jarvis, vice-president; Marlene Durkee, treasurer; Mary Quattrocchi, secretary; Margaret Broderick, Joe Crossett, and Denis Linehan, as Student Council members. Our Senior Play, Ten Little Indians, directed by Mr. John Kilrain and starring Eddy Reese, Karen Wright, and Mike Boucher, was an encouraging success. Through hard earned money used for dues, and the efforts of our advisors, we were able to spend five days of our Easter vacation in Washington, D. C., visiting the beautiful edifices dedicated to American history and life today. The Senior Class of 1964 wishes to extend its gratefulness for all the help it has acquired through its advisors; Mrs. Bollman, Miss Fitzpatrick, Miss Hanna, Mr. Clark, Mr. Carpenter, and Miss McGlaflin. We are sorry to leave these four years behind us, but we will always have many memories to look back on--happy memories of Fort Edward High. t lass Propliecy The setting is Keyser's Inn now under the part ownership of Evelyn and Harry, and the date is June 22, 1974. The minutes of our wonderful class reunion are ticking away on the clock designed by Timmy Shea. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves while dancing to the music provided by our Dixie-land Band. Among the members we find Sam on the drums. Craig on the piano, Jim singing, and Eddy directing. Douglas and Denis, just in from Indianapolis Speedway, said that they are staying at one of Mary Quattrocchi's chain of motels. It seems just great to see all our classmates once again in so many different fields. Tim H. is in the dairy industry with Mike O. assisting him. Bob V. is president of the First National Bank; Tim M. is proprietor of Murray's Lanes; Mike B. owns the Hound Dog Food Company; Bob B. and Andy are on the Ski Patrol at Big Bromley; and Mike A. is editor-in-chief of Mad Magazine. On the other side of the room, all our secretaries seem to be talking over their jobs. Mary M. is telling Barbara O., Sandy Sabath, and Barbara W. about her position with J. P. Burke, while Marlene tells Sandy S. about her job at the health clinic. In the corner there is a heated discussion going on about price inflation. Moe D., Larry, and Margie, managers of the Country Dollar, Savage's, and the Grand Union respectively, are most disturbed. Fred, proprietor of Murray's Department Store; Sandy G., owner of Wagner's; and Cy, owner of a jewelry store are listening attentively. I am told that Rosemary, Betty V., and Susie are in business together. Rosemary does the hair styling; Betty does the facials, sometimes getting to use her formula freckle cream; and Susie does the hair coloring. It seems that a few of our classmates have entered the sports field. Dave teaches track at UCLA; Don plays for the Boston Celtics; Joe is catcher for N. Y. Yankees; Colin plays for the New York Giants; George races Go-Karts; and Pat is in the roller derby. I understand also that Pam and Mary Ann S. race at Fonda. Christine, Marilyn, and Sandi W. are talking over their teaching problems. There are Kathleen, Claire, and Betty B. I see that they have not forgotten how to twist. Kathleen is head nurse of pediatrics at Blair General Hospital; Claire is president of Hughes Insurance Agency; and Betty is a full time model for M. Solomon’s. I don’t see Davine at present, but I am told that she has built up quite a taxi service for herself. Bob I. is president of the Sherman Cartoon Inc., with Ruth in the same business as draft artist. I also understand that Carolyn is kept quite busy these days, as newly elected President of the Girls Scouts of America. Unfortunately, Karen and Jane were unable to be with us tonight because of their engagement at the Copa Cabana. Since our first class reunion was well-attended and well-enjoyed, we have all promised to meet again ten years from now to see what the future had in store for the class of 1964.
