After eight long years of earnest anticipation, we the class of '59 entered our freshman year at Fort Edward High School. We elected Danny D'Angelico, president; Paul Sheehan, vice-president; Peter Sgorrano, secretary; and Jeffrey Davis, treasurer. Peggy Smatko was our student council representative. In 1957 we returned to dear old F. E.H.S. as seasoned sophomores. This year we chose Marilyn Roche, president; Danny D'Angelico, vice-president; Peter Sgorrano, secretary; and Joseph Brablc, treasurer. Peggy Smatko and Paul Sheehan were our student council representatives. To the surprise of many, we returned the following year as juniors. We elected John Keenan, president; Danny D'Angelico, vice-president; Marilyn Roche, secretary; and Joseph Brablc, treasurer. Peggy Smatko and Paul Sheehan put forth our views again in the student council. One of the highlights of our junior year was the choosing of our class rings. The big social event of the year finally arrived - The Junior Prom! While the Blue Jacks played our theme Younger Than Springtime, our queen, Marilyn Roche, was met at her throne by her escort and king, John Terrier. The court consisted of Sandy Pickett, Peggy Smatko, Janice Aldous, Barbara Murray, Sheri La Sarso and Estelle Feingold. At last the big year finally arrived! Our first business of the year was the election of officers. After the final votes were tallied, we found we had chosen John Keenan as our able class president and John Terrier, his ever helpful vice-president. Penny Jones dutifully took notes at all our class meetings while Joe Brablc capably managed our money. Our voices in Student Council were Charles Biddiscombe, Danny D'Angelico and Paul Sheehan. Our Senior play, Here Comes Charlie, was a smashing hit under the able direction of Mr. Garwood. Now at the end of our high school careers we wish to thank our teachers and advisors, Mrs. Alice Loughlin, Mrs. Gertrude Munson, Miss Elinor Etu, Mr. Nicholas LaSarso, and Mr. Nicholas V. Vinson, for their assistance through the years. CLASS HISTORY
