FORREST MARQUIS Vice-Principal, Director of Athletics HOWARD HUGHES Director ot Activities Administrative Heads Are Friends Indeed Our Superintendent ot schools, Carl T. Feel- haver, has the wide vision that sees each indi- vidual in his relationship to the school and the school in its relationship to each individual. Mr. Feelhaver came to Fort Dodge in i933 as principal of the high school. He became super- intendent in l947. During the past few years he has been responsible tor a tremendous renovating and building program. The com- munity respects his ability and judgement as a superior educator. Mr. Feelhaver's undergrad- uate work was done at the University of Ne- braska. He received a Masters degree from Columbia University, New York City and also the University ot Chicago. He has done exten- sive work on his doctorate. Wesley A. Erbe came to our high school as principal in 1948. Draft conscious Dodgers are turning continually to Mr. Erbe tor advice concerning the problems ot continuing an edu- cation in college or joining the armed services. He has great respect tor every student and any problem they may have he feels is also his. Another big responsibility that he has is being the registrar tor Junior College. Mr. Erbe's un- 6 dergraduate work was done at Iowa State Teachers. He received his Masters degree from the State University ot Iowa. He has done ex- tensive work there since receiving his ad- vanced degree. Forrest Marquis is the director ot athletics. His athletic program is geared to meet the needs ot all the boys. His influence in pro- ducing true sportsman has been remarkable. As head football coach he has repeatedly pro- duced conterence champions. As vice-principal, Mr. Marquis handles the problems ot discipline that arise. He received his Bachelors degree from Parsons College. He has done graduate work at the University ot Missouri. Howard Hughes is director ot activities. He is a busy man making arrangements for all of the school activities. Mr. Hughes records all awards that are given to the students. He also teaches history. Added to all of these respon- sibilities is that of being Dean of the Junior College. Mr. Hughes received his Bachelor of Arts degree from lowa State Teachers College and his Masters degree from the University of Colorado.
