Head- ing the executives is Superintendent K. D. Miller who studies the needs of the Senior High School, junior High School, and the T I Kl'lIIll'fl7 17. Millar SUPERINTENDENT Ken- neth D. Miller has served faithfully, willingly, and suc- cessfully for eleven years. During that time he has, by his wisdom, foresight, and humor won a warm place in the hearts of students and of teachers of our system. The favored few who have come to know him well have been highly influenced by their personal contacts with him. In the courses offered pupils may prepare for college or may have a fair training in the simple pro- cesses that precede business and manual arts specialization. Beyond the basic three r's are courses of wide enough diversity to fit the individual interests of students of all talents and aptitudes-two languages, music, public problems, art appreciation, IT is almost an advantage to be called into Vice-prin- cipal Fred N. Cooper's office for a misdemeanor-one be- comes so impressed with the squareness of the man who talks straight from the shoul- der and makes even the guilt- iest recognize the justice of his punishment. He follows up the records of individuals for commendation or further helpful corrective measures. four sciences, drama, swimming, machine work, woodwork, drafting, printing, his- tory, physical education, home economics, speech, journalism, and office practices. One hour a day is devoted to each study- an hour in which the teacher uses her time as she sees fit for study or recitation.
