Falcon Band Adds That Gclilxtra Mr. Cecil W. C. Flora High School is divided into four separate units: the Marching Band, the Concert Band, the Falconaires, and the Twirling Falconettes. The Marching Band per- forms at all home football games, other athletic events, and parades. The Concert Band presents annually a Winter Pops Concert, a formal Spring Concert, and the Flora Band Festival. Although the Falconaires have been in existence only one year, they have already performed at many dances and assemblies throughout the state. Each member of the Twirling Falconettes also plays an instrument in the Concert Band. Under the direction of Mr. Cecil Johnston, our band consistently gives superb performances. The spirit of the Student Body rises tremendously when the band is present at pep rallies, assem- blies, and football games. This year something new has been added-a basketball pep band. Without it the spirit of many a Flora fan would have been dampened.
