CLASS HISTORY As the school year comes to an end, we flnd ourselves lookrng back over the pleasant tunes we have spent atle B11 S lve remember 1955 when we started out wrth forty seven green freshmen rn our class Our freshman offrcers were presrdent Jerry Wrllrams vrce presrdent Janette Bryant secretary and treasurer 1111 Gentry, and reporter Latona Drlbeck Our class sponsors were Mr Norrrck and Mrs Calhs Eldon Scoot was our student councrl representatlve 1111 Gentry was honored by berng elected cheerleader for the four years of hrgh school To represent us our freshman year Laura Mayer and Janette Bryant were chosen to be attendants for the basketball queen lv e began our sophomore year by electrng Gordon Srdes to be our class president and to represent us rn student councrl To help Gordon wrth the many dutres that were to be faced the followrng offlcers were chosen vrce presrdent Bobby Joe Douglas, treasurer Jerry lvrlhams secretary Latona Drlbeck and reporter Lmda Barrett Our basketball queen attendants for thrs year were Jo Ann Meyer and Martha Jane Rernhart Two of the brg events of the year were rece1v1ng our class jackets and rrngs Th1s year three new members were 1dded to our class Brenda Allen Ed Rolen and Peggy Blake Later rn the year we lost one student Lrnda Deweese Ed Rolen and Latona Dtlbeck were elected by the class to serve as recreatron councrl representatrves for the followrng two years Our sponsors Mr Norrrck and Mrs Callrs made the year much easter by the wonderful help they gave and Jerry Sollman The junlor offrcers were presrdent Gordon Srdes vrce presldent Bobby Joe Douglas treasurer Jerry Wrlhams secretary Ruth Heldt and reporter Kay Rrchrc Thrs year Mary Kuhns was elected student councrl representatrve We pro duced our class play Glamour Boy a three act comedy whrch was a brg success Ruth lleldt and JoAnn Kuester had the honor of berng basketball queen attendants T e brg event of the year lv as the Junror Senror Prom whrch was grven tn honor of the sen rors Our theme was Hawauan Paradrse We danced to the musrc of Bland Gayer and hrs band Mr Nlorrrck and Mrs Callrs were agaln helpful rn makrng the year a very successful one As last we are senrors and have achreved the goal of four years work For our frnal year our class offrcers are Gordon Srdes presrdent Larry Blackard, vrce presrdent Jerry lvrlhams treasurer JoAnn Kuester secretary and JoAnn Meyer reporter Thrs year Don Rohl IS student councrl representauve We are sorry to have lost Mr Norrrck who had been an excellent sponsor for three years, but were glad to welcome Mr Margrnet as our sponsor along wrth Mrs Callrs, who has sponsored us for the fourth year The passrng four years have brought us torl and pleasure through the usual classes exams school partres, ball games plavs and other currrcular and extra currrcular actrvrtres These years were made more enjoyable and profrtable by the frrendly and helpful sprrrt shown by the faculty and members of the student body 18 , s v 1 us s N.
