me 0,4 1957 At last the long awatted day had arrrved We were now at the arrport wartrng for the plane whrch was to take us to New York Ctty to the annual Tw1n Conventton. We were hurrymg to board our plane when we heard a famllrar vorce It was ALAN TITZER who was a Jet mechanrc there Alan mentroned that BILL BARRETT and WAYNE BRUMFIELD two promrnent engrneers were responslble for all the new burldrngs at the arrport Alan had recently seen RAY DILBECK who was an offrcer rn the U S Navy We had talked to Alan longer than we realtzed and had to hurry to board the plane Our stewardess greeted us very warmly and much to our surprtse II was BETTY ANN SOLLMAN. She had received a letter from RUTHIE UNDERWOOD who IS an elementary teacher at Ft Branch She mentloned rn her letter that the followmg would be teachrng at dear old F B I-LS next year ANN CARTER math SHERI REED musrc BOBBIE ROLEN Englrsh DON WOOLSTON agnculture JERRY WILKINS socral studles SHARON FLOYD commerclal specrallzlng IH I B M machlnes DICK DILBECK coach RICH WEBER physrcs and chemlstry and BETTY BAILEY school secretary A new class 1S to be added next year It 15 a beautrcran course taught by WANDA GRAPER, After tellrng Betty good bye we headed strarght for the theater where the conventxon was already under way There we met some of our old claxmates FRANK and FRANCIS SOLLMAN and PAUL and PAULINE MENY We all emoyed the program rmmensely and to our surprtse found that BOB SCHMITS was rn charge of the program Bob had been on a tour of the country and had come rn contact wrth DON NAAS an accountant and DAN NEUFELDER a noted sc1ent1st and JUDY GREGORY a prrvate secretary who was soon to become the boss s wtfe Bob also told us that JERRY VEACH was v1ce prestdent of a leadrng New York ftrm MARY BLEVINS was also employed there as personnel manager All too soon our V1S1t was ended We reluctantly boarded the plane to frnd BEVERLY JONES our ste wardess She told us about several of our classmates LINDA EATON EVELYN MOORE HELEN HOEF LING MINNIE TRAINB2 GLENDA GEORGES PHYLLIS FONES and JOYCE WAGNER who were all hap prly marrled She went on to tell us that PHYLLIS KRAMER and JEAN BUCK were both secretarles for lawyers ID Ft Branch. She ask rf we had read the arttcle 1n PARENTS MAGAZINE wrttten by JULIA HILLYARD and MARLENE KUESTER nurses rn a nearby hosprtal Whrle talkrng to Beverly we were cas ually thumbmg through an agnculture magazrne and saw a prcfure of a very beautrful farm It was GEORGE KREIG S noted darry farm The magazlne was owned and edrted by ROBERT BAEHL and ED HUELSMAN JAMES SCHUESSLER was a feature wr1ter for th1s famed magazrne We aruved home wrth the thrrll of the success of all our classmates We wonder what the next ten years wtll hold for us?
