Clam Histone We entered the first year of high school as green freshies with Miss Niekamp and Mr. Taylor as our class sponsors. The following students were elected for our class officers: President ............... ..,...... J oe French Secretary ....,.... ,........... . Betty Rohl Vice-President ................ Bonnie Blum Treasurer ...........,.,...... Charles Adams Our Oompah candidates were PhyllisBeasley and Robert Titzer. When the basketball season rolled around our attendants were Bonnie Blum and Lucile Kuhns. At the beginning of the Sophomore year we had three new members to enroll in our class-Edgar Wilderman, Sue Trible, and Mary Lu Miller. We elected the following class officers: President .......................... Bonnie Blum Secretary and Treasurer ...,.............. Vice-President .............. Roger Borders ,......,..,....... ...... .......... G e orge Johnson This year Miss Graper and Mr. West were our sponsors. Our Oompah candidates were Verla Smith and George Johnson and our basketball attendants were Phyllis Beasley and Lucile Kuhns. At the beginning of the second semester another new member, Melvin Burger, en- rolled in the class. With the beginning of our Junior year, we lost six of our classmates-Kenneth Reising, Geraldine Fougnies, Joan King, Edwin Sieb, Robert Titzer, and Lillie Pearl Odom. Joe French Treasurer ...,..,.,............... Lucile Kuhns Reporter ...........,,......... Kenneth Carter Mrs. Brown and Mr. West were our sponsors that year. We received our class sweaters and class rings. Were we proud! The Oompah candidates were Rosina Robeson and Norman Rexing. Our basketball attendants were Verla Smith and Rosina Robeson. On December 2, we presented the comedy, Make Yourself at Home. At the end of the Junior year we donated S200 to the curtain fund. On May 3, we held our Junior-Senior Dinner-Dance in the old gym. It was quite an affair! Finally we have reached our last year! We are now the sophisticated Seniors! Pat Carithers enrolled and stayed with us two months. She returned to Florida for the winter months then came back to F.B.H.S. on February 14. Our class officers were the following students: President ....,........,.,,..... Lois Roberts We elected Pat Carithers and Kenneth Carter as our Oompah candidates. Bonnie Blum was elected basketball queen and her attendants were Betty Rohl and Lucile Kuhns. Two of our members, Joe Downey Floyd and Shirley Woods, were elected Yell Leaders. Finally we began work on the Benedictus under the direction of Mrs. Brown and Mr. West. This ends our four joyful years of high school. We wish the same to all the under- classmen. 14
