Both Boys and Girls State is held in June, and it lasts for one week. During this week, the boys and girls learn about how state, city, and county government operates. This is done by setting up governments, nominating representatives, holding elec- tions and campaigns, and by experiencing the whole idea of it. The end result is an increased knowledge about what and how our government is set up and run.
