The Fort Benton Booster's purpose is to stimulate and improve all extra-curricular activities in the Fort Benton Schools. The Boosters have been very active this year. The Thanksgiving Tournament, various Concessions, Track Meets, the State Gymnastics Meet, were all fund raising projects. In addition to all this, they put on the Athletic Banquet, gave flowers to all the parents of senior ath- letes at the end of their season, awarded certificates to all seniors par- ticipating in extra-curricular activities at Awards Night, sewed the names on the back of the new football jerseys, put on a Speech and Drama Meet and lunch, sponsored the Fine Arts Night, and gave a lot of support to all the athletes all year long. Thanhs to the Boosters for a great job. The B-Club consists of all Letterpersons in good standing. There are about 65 members this year. They participated in various fund raising projects. B-Club uses the money it makes to buy things for the athletes benefit at the school and they also buy all of the letters and various pins and awards. They also updated and cleaned up their con- stitution.

Girls- Linda Hampton and Marlene Shaw. Alternates- Sandy Lippert and Lisa Merger. Each year, Girls State is held in Helena at Carroll College. Boys State is held at Western Montana College in Dillon. Both Boys and Girls State is held in June, and it lasts for one week. During this week, the boys and girls learn about how state, city, and county government operates. This is done by setting up governments, nominating representatives, holding elec- tions and campaigns, and by experiencing the whole idea of it. The end result is an increased knowledge about what and how our government is set up and run.
