The 1969 Longhorn football team showed vast improvement during the year. The year began with a tie with Harlowton and a close loss to Chouteau. The Longhorns lost the next two games to Shelby and Malta. Follow- ing the Malta game, came three wins over Chinook, Cut Bank, and Browning. We then lost the final game of the year to Conrad, the district co-champion. The Longhorns played their best games of the year against Browning and Malta. Next year should show an improvement over this year's record with eighteen returning lettermen. The entire district should be much stronger next year so it should prove to be an interesting year. I would like to thank the Fort Benton student Body for the support that they have given the Longhorns and me during the past two seasons. I have enjoyed coaching the team and I wish them continued success in the future. Mike Meredith, Head Football Coach. 22
