Right-A play begins to take shape against Malta during Home- coming. A LONG HARD GRIDIRON SEASON The Longhorns compiled a 3-4-1 record during the fall football campaign. The high points of the season were the two shut-out wins over Big Sandy and Cut Bank and the come from behind tie in the Homecoming game. Injuries plagued the Longhorns all season long as both quarterbacks and several other key persone 1 were hurt simultaneously. Longhorns exhibited a strong defense at times but mental lapses cost them many touchdowns. A strong passing attack brought the fans to their feet many times but inconsistency in blocking and backfield execution stopped many drives. Although the record doesn't show it, much effort was put forth both on behalf of the players and coaches to try to bring another success- ful season to FBHS. Above-Bruce Nelson closes in on the Buff quarterback. Right-Dennis Wethem struggles for yardage. 22
