Citizenship awards are based on leadership, devotion to duty, contribution to community, church and school, honor, and patriotism. This yearTs awards include Heisey Awards, Danforth Awards, D.A.R. Citizenship Award, American Legion Citizenship Awards, Girls1 State delegates and their alternates, and Boys1 State delegates with their alternates. The Girls1 State and Boys’ State delegates are elected by their classmates with the final decision lying with the faculty. All other citizenship awardees are selected by private organizations.

HONOR GRADUATES FRONT ROW: Dale Nottingham, salutatorian; Barbara Lynda Bramlette, Donna Wigger, Martin Molinarto, Glwi Cameron, Karen Aanoe, Jon Meredith, Leone Nagengast, Ledgerwood, Cathy Olson, Carol Harris. Linda Kelly, Douglas Laubach, valedictorian. BACK ROW: On May 22, Class Night, scholarships were awarded to seniors with high scholastic averages and good citizenship records. The Greater University of Montana Scholarship is awarded each year to the two seniors with the highest scholastic average who plan to attend any division of the Greater University of Montana System. This year the awards went to Douglas Laubach and Dale Nottingham. Carroll College Scholarships go to the Catholic students with the highest scholastic average in the top third of the class. Cathy Olson and Leone Nagengast were the recipients. Whitworth Scholarship (Whitworth College, Washington), awarded on the basis of high scholar- ship, went to Jon Meredith. Western Montana College awarded a teaching scholarship to Georgia Davison. The P.T.A. awarded a teaching scholarship to Barbara Cameron. V.F.W. Auxiliary awarded two scholarships this year to seniors planning to enter the medical profession. Leone Nagengast and Karen Aznoe were the recipients.
