Une person eannot he given eredlt for producing this team: manx' faetors influeneed their sueeess. Without these-fa good t-oaeh. sehool spirit. proper attitude and effort. and good athletic material-it would not have lmeen possilrle to hare a state team from Fort Benton. ,Xt this point it would he very easx' to overlook one other influenee- eommunity support. were sure the team feels that without the support of their Nloms and Dads and friends it would have heen impossilile to go into the games with the we will win attitude. when the team lrrought home the state title everyone in this 1-ommunitx' was proud of them. To show their appreeiation the ltllsllltlsr men sponsored a trip for them to the Class A State Tournament at :Xnat-onda. As a permanent ret-ord to the st-hool Trvgre llirkeland presented a fine pair of l.onghorns to 1 the school in memory of his nieee, Phyllis Birkeland.
