Student Council 2 MARVIN WORKS Band12 FAl2Sec34 SENIOR HISTORY At last, was the cry heard on September 7, 1949 when the class, now consisting of 44 members. entered the halls of FBHS as seniors. For the first time in the history of FBHS, Fort Benton tools the State Class B Championship in basketball. The first five of this championship team was composed of four seniors. Ted Tucker, Norman Smith. Jim and Gene Hardy. Nine seniors earned their letters in football, with Don Morris, Claude Behrens and Gene Hardy making the All-Con- ference team. On December 8, the Seniors presented their play, Meet Me in St. Louis , starring Phyllis Vlillson. It was the largest attended play ever held in this high school auditorium. Starting early in the year the seniors did a successful job on the publication of their annual, The Pioneer . The painting of the HB with the generous aid of the freshmen was accomplished early in May, followed by Baccalaureate, Senior Breakfast, Sneak Day, and finally Commencement. which lJl0llgllt to a close the Cla s of 30 s enjoyable and memorable sthool days in dear old Fort Benton High School
