PAGE 30 THE PIOHEER F B 'rl S THIL NEW HIGH SCHOUL It IS mth regret that we the seniors of 1939 leave Fort Benton school wslthout the opportunity of attendlng the new hlgh school Classes have been held ln rather crowded quartexs smce the old bulldlng burned ln 1937 Startmg next year the students at Fort Benton I-hgh School wlll enter the new bulldxng They wxll enjoy the many up to date fac1l1t1es that are found only m the larger well equlpped hlgh schools of the state I w1ll comment brlefly on a few features of the new bulldlng The commercial department IS a school ln ltself It 1s equipped vuth an offxce practlce room like a modern offlce where the future busmess men and women are execu uves even lf only for a day The sclence laboratory wlll be equlpped wlth the latest scxentxfxc tables and an aquarlum They will have the most up to date equlpment ayallable for hlgh school laboratories today The Smlth Hughes and manual trammg departments are large and well lighted allovnng the students plenty of space and machlnery for efficlent workmanshlp The large audltorlum wlll be one of the greatest beneflts to the communlty It mll be permanently seated with upholstered opera chairs The muslc room IS built directly behind the stage making lt com enlent for muslcal programs and rehearsals There wxll be a flreproof projectlon room and a projector yyhlch vull make possible the use of educatlonal plctules The bulldmg wlll be heated and ventxlated by the Uni Vent system Mr Hague the school board the archltect and the taxpayers have made posslble thxs opportunxty of advancement ln modern educatlonal faclhtles whxch the students of tomorrow will enjoy FRANK CULBERTSON Presldent of the Semor Class v f f w 1 X l . 7.
