19 3 5 F 9 H S THE PIONEER JUNIOR HISTORY Slxty elght Freshlmgs hatched out 1n the fall of 1932 ln a nest on the fourth oranch of the tree of F B H S I ll ad'n1t vue were pretty new In tlus part of the country but that was no reason for the rough tre 'ment of the flock of Sophs and SPDIOFS that swooped down on us for what they called Imtlatlon Our large feathered famlly needed some rules and regulatxons so we elected Glen 'J1ggSJ Marcus as herder of our flock Jarv s Pearce as day wat hman and Eugene Mor uW as nlght Watchman In order to gam st ength both pnysxcallv and menta'lv we took some exercises ln me form of mtra mural basketball games and the scholarshlp contest When the fall of 33 flew around sxxty s1x of us had grown enoueh feathers to be called Sopr omores Now It was our tum to do '1 httle swooplng And we took our revenge In our famlly electlon we chase Jesse Willett as herder uf our flock w1th Lones Wlgger and Eugene Morrow as watchr' en of our nest Aeam ue mcreased our mental and physxcal capacltles rn athletxcs band orchestra and scnolarshlp contest Ethel Engebrrt on was chosen our prmcess By 1934 our wlngs xx ere s rong enough to carry us up to the thxrd branch cn F B H S W organlzed agam and elected Eugene Morrow as derder of our zlock and MIHUIC luorrlson and Norrls Hanford as watchmen Th re was a lot of twlttermg done when Junlor Rmg txme came but t was all mally declded and now we all proudly dlsplay our golden prophecles of 1936 Also we fave our play The Mumrry and the Mumps Of course we gave our Jumor Prom a wlebrauon for the class that was flxtflr-ug awev thls sprmg N xt year the class of 36 rs comlng back to be on the top branch of F B H S and cur chx pmg mll be heard above all me rest ANNOUNCEMENTS DEDICATED TO JESS WILLETT I'o be a blackboard s mot fun We all feel sorry for Jess The thxngs we say youd never guess Ot sleep he gets less and less Theres not a smffle thxnv we shun So he can sleep well And our face IS ln an awful mess Flrst MISS Lynch does come along Her message on the board to leave And WT1t9S We need a new school song To slng at the game tomorrow eve Francls RODIHSOH so brave and bold Though he IS r ally shakmg 1n his shoes Wrxtes A Freshmen meet ng I do hold So come p epa ed to pay your dues Mr Hagxe fyou all know our prof!
