THE PIONEER JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY When we enrolled as members of C. F. H. S. we were helpless and hardly able to stand the udxcule and crltlclsms of the upper classmen It was sllppery those days and our only prouslon were our brams Those who had none dropped out ln the beg.,1nn1ng and those who had few borrowed from those who had many At the close of our Freshman year we wele no longer the weakest 1n the school but as yet not the mlghtlest The next year as Sophomom es we were well represented ln all school 3CtIVltl0S In football Durward Allen Jav Allen and Warren Johnson recelved letters Ioulse Curtls and Margaret Muxr held flrst team posltlons m Basketball Then to show our ablllty IH the hne of llterature Kathryn Reynolds and Morrls Stevens were members of the Ploneer Staff Thls year we are the mlghty Jumors second to none Knot excepting SQIIIOFSJ As a class our Junlor recold IS one to be remembered wxth Barton 'Vlurray and Jay Allen IH football Margar t Nlulr Anna Frlellng Vlrglhla Goetllch and Loulse Curtls holdmg flrst team posltlons m basketball Paul Plstorl representlng us ln Track Dur ward Allen Glenn Allen and NIOFPIS Stevens m the Student Councll and Barton Mur rav ln Basketball We were also lepxesented on the Staff by Morrls Stevens and Dur ward Allen Morrls Stevens and Glenn Allen were two of the three boys sent to Boze men to the conference Then too some of our members took part ln the operetta Mlss Cherry Blossom The Junxor ela s stunt and the Nhnstrel Sheet were considered two of the best events of the H S 'ix Jmks IVIOFFIS Stevens and Clarlce Calkln took part ln the H S play glven as the mam event of the H1 Jmks The Junlors also won the tlcket sale for the H S ent xtamment As a reward for our efforts we were glven a hollday for a class plcnlc Another vlctory of the Junlor Class was the wmmng of the Glrls Interclass Basketball Tournament Of course no one w1ll forget the Junlor Prom and Banquet We as Junlors have made a place for ourselves and as we pass on to our Senlor year we leave our places to you Sophomores the Junlols of the future and we hope you may have as much success and as many happy memorles as we hawe had Ioulse Curtls 79 PRESIDENT Glenn Allen SECRETARY TREASURER MOIIIS Stevens CLASS FLOWER Red Rose NIOTTO Labor Vlncxt Omnla COLORS Rose and Gold -XDVISOR MISS L Heluk T7 AA Y -f v r. . 1 ' r v , . , , ' . v ' , K ' ' .
