A A The Elgtuneer JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY The class of twen yfour minus a few brave members who missed a rung on the slippery ladder which leads to fame and knowledge has finally through great presence of mind falthough sometimes absence of bodyb attained the very high honor of being Juniors and also the express privilege of occupv ing the row of seats ermed the Junior Row Among those yyho are gone but not forgotten are Cecile Pelly at school 1n Oregon June Quarrels in Washington Helen Leacher in Utah Lucille and Loren Clark in Great Falls Everett Day in YV3Shl!lg on Helen Holmes working in Bozeman Vivian 'VIcGee at home in W yommg Blanch Cooper marrled lflorence toughlin working in the County Agents office Lola Burchett married and the proud posses sor of an heir During our l-reshman year our class officers were President Fverett Dav vice president Kenneth Pet it secretary Serene Ward treasurer Barton Vlurray We also chose our class flower the pmly carnatton and our motto- Work and yV1n During our Freshman rain we did not enter tn many activities In football basketball and track we were represented by Ray Uhl In declamatory Lola Burchett showed the high school that we were ahve Also our domestic science girls gave a dinner for the District Board This was the total eyctent of our enterprises hat year In our Sophomore year we changed our officers electing June Qu rrels president Ray Uhl vice president and Kenneth Pe tlt secretary treasurer This was a year cf studv for most of us threw off carelessness and settled down to make up for the credits yye had lost the year before We gave one successful party and also had an ll day picnic on upper Shonkln This holiday was given to us as a premlum for showing ourselves the best ticket scllers in high school It was very suc cessful with the exception of a few tumbles 1n the creek in which members of the faculty partlclpltatefl We were engaged in VHFIOUS ac 1v1t1es this year in basketball we were represented by Ray Uhl and I+clcl1e Relchelt in football by Rav Uhl Barton Murray and lfdche R9lCll9lt and in girls basketball bv llla Thisselle and Vlolet Silver In the mlnstrel show two of our bellhke voices charmed the populace Everet Day was a negro and Serene Ward a songster We were rewarded for this by an impromptu party Eycams appeared on the scene and after a few days of terrible strife our Sophomore year yyas ended Our Jumor year has been a happy one Again changing class officers we elected Ray Uhl president this year Myrle McKeeve1 and Prank Rowe And at mid year Bernice Scott came back into the fold after an absence of a vear and a half We were well represented in organizatlons this year Five Junior boys urned out for football These were Fddie Reichelt Ray Uhl Herbert Cooper Barton 'Nlurray and Ralph Shepherd In basket ball Ray Uhl play ed sub for the first team and aCCOIllpi1fl1ed it on all its trips Eddte Reichelt plaved on the second team In rack Ray Uhl lyddie Relchelt and Nlike Joyce yy ent out tor honors ln the I ltinook track meet lsddle and Ilxy both placed high and ln 'he S ate meet Ray made three points In girls bas kctball Ru h Lee Inlla Tlnsselle Nlyrle NILKSQVQI ylable Shepherd and XIOIGI Silver played The Junior year is drawing to a close now but we still haye one more event to be placed before the pubhc The Junior Promenade IS on Its way and from lic yyay things look noyy we hope to have one of the most successful Proms old C t H S eyer knew Aftcr only three more weeks wc will be all throueh with our hard long year and we arc all rather tlrcd But yyalt until next year when we are Seniors md occupy tha last royy of seats Ol' Boy' Just XX atch Our Smoke' Serene XX ard John Joyce v 1 3313143121431 31 CLASS OFFICERS President Ray Uhl Vice President Eddie Reuchelt Secretary Treasurer Serene Ward Class Advisor Mrs Savage 0.0 1-111111 uivioioi-12014 P31111 . 1 y Q1 - ' ' 1 v . v 1 1 - . . . . t . . 1 1 . 2 . 3 .
