He is quite active in many things at Fort Ashby. He is spon- sor of the Student Council, coach of the track team, and sponsor of the Senior Class. In fact, he has sponsored our class for the past four years. He is the recipient of the ''Teacher of the Year'' Award. Besides accomplishing all these material things, he has won a place in all our hearts; he has achieved a lasting friendship with each and everyone of us. Our way of giving thanks is by dedicating the 1974 Fortress to you, Dedication This is his 20th year of teaching and coaching at Fort Ashby without missing a single day. He has taught many of us to drive, and all of us know how much patience and understanding he must have to endure that! Besides being a coach and teacher, he has substituted as our prin- cipal many times. Also, this year Coach Sayers is the only teacher without a lunch period - he teaches eight periods everyday, and he still keeps smiling! Coach, we want you to know that we appreciate all your time, talent, and devotion. Thank you! Quentin Sayers ADMINISTRATION Our Principal This is Mr. Holsberry's second year at Fort Ashby. The Senior Class of 1974 would like to take this opportunity to thank him for making our Junior and Senior years complete.
