We Study With a Purpose in Health Programs Forsyth Technical Institute established its reputation in health education with the Practical Nurse Education pro- gram. In 1971 Forsyth Technical Institute entered an agreement with the Health Planning Council, Forsyth Memo- rial Hospital, North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Reynolds Me- morial Hospital and Bowman Gray School of Medicine for two-year health programs. Students graduating from the one-year Practical Nurse Education curriculum are eligible to take State Board examinations to become Licensed Prac- tical Nurses. Graduates from two-year program receive the Associate in Applied Science Degree and are eligible to take State or national examinations for registry or certification. Students enrolled today will have a major responsibility in meeting the health care needs of this community tomorrow.
