Mr. R. V. Fryar Superzrztmdsnfis Massage To all the students of Forsan Schools: My boy once had a dog. That pup could beat any runner on the track team. He did not have to study science, math, English or any other sub- ject, He had no homework. He was excused from QQ studying. In fact, he did not have to do any work, just play around--make himself agreeable and come in for meals. No work, no responsi- bilityg pretty soft! And yet when anyone wants to find an expression to describe the most unsatisfactory experience he can think of, he calls it a dog's life. You can see why--no responsibility, no achievement means nc significance, no importance--nothing to be proud of. People are proud of doing challenging things. The team is hap- piest, not in playing an opponent that is a pushover, but one that is hard. It is my hope that each of you has been challenged by your ex- periences in the Forsan Schools. Your teachers have presented mind- stretching ideas. Some you have rejectedg others you have accepted. In either case the fact that you encountered them made you grow as people mentally.
