1 Foreword Just as the cowboys left their tracks in the drifting sands, you are leaving your imprint on the history of Hugo High School. The theme of this edition for 1958 is Western, and each division page attempts to carry out some phase of western life. Each class section is represented by the picture of those you have chosen for your favorites. It is with great pride that the Staff of 1958 Buffalo Trails presents to you, this, their fifth volume. To the class of 1958, who are riding their last round-up, we wish all the luck possible, and God's richest blessing on them as they go out into the wide, wide, world. r Miko ' 1 Best Man , . Of . r ' Leader , 1 A 1 sf -f e w fr W Dedication At the turn of the century, buffaloes roamed the ranges in vast herds, the Indians guarded their lands with fierce possessiveness, and the cowboys rode the prairies as they moved their cattle down the trail. There was spirit in these people, pride in them for the part they had in the conquering of that once unexplored land. They were proud of that land, and fought with great spirit to keep it. Hugo High also has a tradition which will live on for a long time -the spirit of loyalty. Although the cowboy has ridden the range for the last time in reality, the spirit of H.H.,S. will never die. To this everlasting spirit, found always in the halls of H.HsS., in all the unforgetable activities, or anywhere you find even the smallest part of the student body, we respectfully dedicate this 1958 edition of Buffalo Trails. r
