To the Reader: This is an introduction to the history of Forreston High School Students in the year 1979. This story has been refer- red to as a saga‘ or a tale of adventures and heroic deeds. Our accomplishments are these heroic deeds and we have certainly experienced many adventures on the way. The characters of this story include each student, the faculty, the staff, and any person connected with the school. The school building, school grounds, and places visited by the students are all a part of the setting. The plot, although not specifically known beforehand, consists of all the events and happenings of the year. This familiar tale has been recorded in pictures and words. One word of caution, however. Do not get upset if this story does not correspond to your idea of the year and its events. It is my opinion, and of course it is different than what others think. I only hope that the ideas expressed will enhance your memories and trigger your ideas as to what the year was. Good luck in everything you undertake throughout your lifetime.
