HIGH SCHUUL FQCULTH REPORTS Mr. J. M Lattig has been superintendent of the Strawn schools for two years. His main hobbies are amateur radio and photography Both he and Mrs. Lattig have been licensed radio operators for a number of years and this year he guided his two sons to the same achievement Mr Lattig sponsored the Freshman Class and the Stu dent Council and taught English and radio. He attended Earstern Illinois State Teachers College and the University of Illinois receiving the degrees of Bachelor of Education and Master f Science He has had wide experience in both teaching and adminis tration and served as an officer in the Air Corps for four and one half years Miss Mabel Marlar assistant principal, finds photography an en grossing and useful hobby, using it both for making biology slides and for home movies for entertainment Miss Marlar sponsored the Pioneer the Senior Class, and the Junior Press Club The subgects which she taught this year were biology, commerce and Journalism She gr duated from DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and from Indiana State Teachers College widxa Master of Arts degree and has taken extra graduate work at the University of Illinois M Harry E Hagerman coackxfor beth the high school and the grade schooL graduated from Illinois State Normal University last June There he received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Education This year he h s had quite a successful season in both baseball and basketball giving the Strawn fans something to cheer about for the first time in sever l years hr Hagerman sponsored the and wood carving interesting hobbies Mr Albert H Eck rt, sponsor of the Junior Class obtained his education at Eastern Illinois State Teachers College at Charleston where he received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Education Chief among his achievements was guiding the Juniors th eugh a highly successful fin neial year and planning an engeyabl eurior Senior banquet hr Fekert ongoys reading but new that takes second place to playing with his young sen Jimmy Dick Mr Robert Snyder, music teacher of Str wn schools since the begin ning of the second semester, attended the Chicago Conservatory of lusie Northwestern University and is new a student at the Univer sity of Illinois where ho is specialising as a violinist His hobby is collecting symphony records and his main interest is always music, beth classical and popular I . i o e ' . . . . . n . . . 0 x. . . . - ' 1 . . 0 . , . . . . . 1 . . .
